Me & the Corona virus in Salisbury

Lots of things to write, just only found the time. About five years ago a lady came to give a talk at Serum Academy, her name was Ann Widdecombe.  I have seen her on the TV lots of times, and she was on Strictly.  I used to go to Sarum Academy when it was still known as Westwood.  I got bullied a lot there, then I went onto Rowdeford boarding school.  I did speak to her, but she's not the sort of women I could work with, she's she's very vocal and terrifying.  I was with the Human Henge group at the time, a lot of the building has changed since I was last there. Now its in the news that she got killed by someone who broke into her house.  Apparently she was whopped on the head several times, I didn't agree with a lot of her view's but she didn't deserve to be murdered.  They arrested one guy from Yorkshire but let him go, they have another man; I hope they have the right guy.   Ann Widdecombe murder probe: What we know so far There were some ...

Still grey and miserable, wouldn't believe we had a heatwave a week ago; yes a heatwave. Started 2 weeks ago, I was coming out of Merry memories at Pinewood community centre, and it was glorious. I also went to the Dean land Living museum with GDO. It's where they film The Repair shop, it was a very hot day and got up to 32D in some parts of the UK 🇬🇧  There's lots of reconstructed houses, like the Tudor farmhouse, victorian cottage. Took loads of photos. Went on the Sheidhall ship with AnnMaria. Took a train to Southampton docks, It was very warm. It's an old steam ship ran by volunteers, I didn't like the horn going off. We passed the Vertuosa cruise ship who sounded her horn. When we got back to Salisbury,  there was a steam train on platform 4. The drivers face was covered in soot, and was as black as the ace of spades.  Train drivers dont know how lucky they are today,  working in temperatures over 100d must be horrendous. Im sat in Charlie's writing about something I  should have done  a week ago.   On April 1st, Nasa launched Artimis 2 wirh humans on to look at the moon. Artimis 1 was a test launch to make sure nothing went wrong. A couple of things went wrong on Artimis 2 which were quickly fixed, including the toilets and aomthing which was leaking. Me and mum watched a program on it and it was amazing!  Today these people made history by doing a slingshot round the moon, and watching an earth's eclipse.  Seams like they've gone back to late 60s style take off. They didn't use a shuttle, they used a rocket.  Apparently they say they want the minerals off the moon, as ours is running out. I hope they don't start drilling as it could affect climate change, a high is buggered already. I'm off to Oxford tomorrow,  being picked up at Brown Street car park. But first, here's something I wrote for Mum. It's called one day. I keep thinking about it… Not now— but one day. There was a dog show in the market square today. I didn't think it was going to go a head because the weather was overcast with a damp feel in the air. We left Clifton Road in 1980. I remember dad went back one evening to get the last of our stuff.  There was a lot of memories lingering behind. First house my parents moved into after they were married in 68. Gran used to visit, but she stopped after a while and we ended up visiting her. Right up until she died one afternoon. The last time me and mum saw her, was at the hospital fate in Victoria Park.  Everyone wanted to see Lady Chichesters camels, I think there was a baby camel. Gran moved to Hudson road in the 1970s. Grandad didn't want to move and wouldn't help; they had to move because the houses were condemned. He was born in that house in 1899, his parents lived in 71 Windsor Street. Went to the stitching and sewing show with GDO last Thursday. It was gloriously sunny, about 16d. There was an accident on the M3 involving a spillage from a tanker. We went via Islington,  past The Royal British library, the black gate has carvings all over it. Also passed The Royal school of music, Madam Tassauds and Regents park; I saw post office tower which is a listed building from the 1960s. The top is a cafe or resturant which slowly rotates. Took 30m to get through Shepherds Bush, then past King's Cross underground. Stopped at the London business centre of textiles where the show was. An Angela Tours bus was in, they are based in Southampton.  I dont think I will go again,  its mainly for stitches and fabric makers. I found one yarn stall, lots of sewing machines. The bathrooms are wierd, including the hand dryers which are built into the sinks. The flush is operated by waving a hand in front the screen on the wall, the red light turns green.
