On Saturday my back decided to play up, hung my quit cover out on the line because the MET office said it would be fine, what a joke! My pegs snapped making me late to come up to parents, and it bloody rained just as I was coming along Churchfields; I noticed the ominouse gray cloud creeping up from the direction of Wilton. I hung my sweater out on the frame to dry when the sun eventually decided to come out.
I met the Steam hengers yesterday at Sarum castle yesterday, it's a windy place up there so I'm glad I didn't wear my shorts. Autumn always starts early in August in the UK, I hate winter. I went round Katherines house, she is so kind. They have an Edwardian house, what history that must have seen. We parked on the large car park by the gates, it did start to rain but went off and drifted over towards Amesbury, I could see the cloud hanging down in a sheet. Some of the other hengers were there, I didn't dress up like them but I will at Christmas if the virus doesn't interfear with our plans; we had such a busy schedual until Corvid-19 messed it up!
We sat under a tree, I could see on the wet grass where my trolley wheels had been. I forgot my drink so Katherine kindly let me have a bit of her's (Dandilion and something I can't quite remember) tasted like that medicine we were forced to drink at school. Lots of dogs came past to say hello, it's a lovely place to walk dogs and the view from the battlements is stunning. I'd like to come up at night and photograph all the city lights, but I fear that Sarum castle althrough lovely in the day, takes on an air of sinister feeling at night. Mum said she once fell in the moat, and a burglar who was trying to get into the office to steal money fell into the doungeon; he wasn't found until dawn. A few more Hengers turned up, including Nikki and her friend. She's going to Greece on the Monday, so she said she will take works laptop with her in case she gets stuck.
I'm trying to get most of my prints done for a Christmas exhibition at the libuary in december, I hope the virus doesn't ruin that. Think positive, It won't!
