Wednesday 2nd September 2020

I can't believe it's september already, it's still nice weather.  I notice one of my lavandar plants has decided to flower, had to pull out a few weeds that were trying to sneakily grow through.

Had some sad news last week that my friend Nikki from Steam punks died whilst in Greece.  We only saw her at the meeting at Sarum castle last week, and she was chatting about how she was looking forward to going!  I shall miss her, she was one of the first people I met when I joined; I can't believe she's gone.  We are still trying to find out what happened.

Aunt Joan came down last Sunday, she fancies a chnage of scenary, can't say I blame her.  We can't go anywhere much because of the stupid virus, a plane coming in from Spain the other night had to be isolated because they were all infected!

The schools went back yesterday, one school had delayed it's opening because some of the pupils were showing signs of the disease, it's doesn't give up does it?  Corby and Tyneside have now high infection rates.

Took the bus up parents because (as usuel) my back was playing up and it still isn't right.  Watched some dull and dusty western about a man shooting Apache indian's.  There was someone banging in the street the other night which woke some neighbours, heard angry voices in the distance.  There's been a lot of trouble from people staying at the Alabera hostel just up the road, half of them don't come from Salisbury and come here with their drug problems.

Salisbury Journal:

Leaving parents house, two buses didn't turn up (5.29 and 6.29) which really annoyed me.  I thought if I had cycle'd back I would be home now. Everytime I heard an engine coming up the hill I thought it might be the bus; but only a car or van.  The bus did come at at 7.00, the driver was very appologetic and said the bus had been diverted around Wilton.

Apparently a hand grenade from WW2 had been discovered by two men magnet fishing in the river in churchill gardens and the bomb squad was called in to detonate it, I heard no bang; apparently the birds etc got a fright.

Scientist's are now saying that the virus can pass through air conditioning on buses, offices etc via the droplets, even more reason not to use the bus.

I might go to ikea next Monday to pick up a floor lamp, be about £40, I'm hoping the bus will be quiet.  I'll take my face covering and lots of hand sanitiser along, sometimes during the week I forget the face covering.  Cases are soaring in the North because people are being stupid and not self isolating, what is it with these knobs from the North?  Some of them don't even bother to wear their masks properly, often having them under their chin.

I would like to do a coach trip to Tenby next year, I don't want to go with penny as she has challenging behaviour, and Alans even worse with his controlling ways and bad habits of starting pointless arguments.

I've written out a bucket list, I only hope I can do at least some of it before it's too late.  One of them is to go back to Teignmouth and see Countryworld in Exmouth, I have a plan on my Trip Advisor.
