The dinner at St Paul's has been cancelled due to the virus, I'm very disappointed because I was looking forward to it, a lot of people around the UK have been cancelling parties etc because of this new variant.
It killed an Italian singer last night they had him in an induced coma.
I went to the Wax class at Victoria Park on Friday. Put on my Santa hat which makes my head hot, we stopped at a lady's house because she couldn't make it, Andrew sang her 'we wish u a merry Christmas,'
Went up along the cycle path up towards Sarum castle, I was cream crackered. Walked back through the estate back to Victoria Park.
The walking for health dinner went well, we walked around the back. I felt guilty because I misunderstood the menu, and took fish as well as turkey.
I have a budget when I go to Tesco, I'll go when it's quieter.
The news is worrying at the moment.
Sometimes I find it sad that we'll never go on holiday as a family again, or visit aunt Joan I admit, I hated the creaky bed in the spare room with its twangy springs.
Nor will we ever go to Teignmouth as a family, what fun we had at the amusement arcade on the pier. I remember a one-armed bandit that even gave out money, even when I hadn't won anything!
The ladybird ride used to be on the pier and the pinball machines which cost 50p a go, it's all changed now. It's like a building site now, the outside is fenced off. There used to be a theatre at the end, and boats used to stop there.
I think of the past and what's now gone, who's died and who's moved on. My parents must have had such fun in Teignmouth in 1968, a black and white photographed world changed beyond recognition.
I had a strange dream last night I was in a cafe overlooking the water. I was sitting by an old teacher called Mrs Foster, she's been dead for years. Then a large boat came past the window with many people on, where were they all going? For some weird reason, I cried when I had to leave, why?
I miss the seaside, j felt lonely in Newquay without my parents. It was the first time I'd been there without them.
Meeting WI tomorrow at King's head, so I'll say nighty night.
