Blue Sunday

I'm a bit low in spirits, the Sun newspaper said the lockdown could last as long as June. Even then people would have to stand at a safe distance from one another, how depressing is that?

The infection rate has spiked again, one man who flouted the law was turned away at Somerset. From Birmingham, he was trying to get to Devon in a motorhome. Never get back to normal if idiots carry on like this, It had to be someone from the Midlands.

Doing the housework this morning, got washing up and a box to clear first. Went to B & M on bike last night, shoes I don't need to use park and ride unless it's raining.

Getting fed up with this now, taking risks every time I go out, no pleasure in shopping now: being furtive wondering if it's a day I could get infected or not.

My hair needs cutting, but all the salons have been shut until further notice, even Amazon are only delivering essential items. All clothes shops are shut, went round bank yesterday which was closed. No market which was a strange thing to see, do now what do they do with their stock?

I watched call the Midwife Call the midwife last night and cried buckets.  It was about a midwife called Chummy Chummy who's mother was dying, and it was so sad to watch. I sat there with tears running down my face thinking of my own mother and how I couldn't see her on Mothers day, I can't imagine life without her, but one day I will be without her and I can't bare the thought.

A changing world

Call the Midwife (BBC One): Visceral but thunderously bland ...

I've always enjoyed Call the midwife and the children on it are so cute, I've read the books written by Jennifer Worth.  The world they lived in no longer exists this is why photography is so important, life is changing all the time and we must never forget it.  My parents and grandparents lived during that era and before.

Went for a walk round cathedral Close, very windy today, wonder my garden windmills don't take off.  Many people out with their dogs, used to see a guy going round Salisbury taking his white cat for a walk at the end of a lead and a dog in tow.  They are all gone now.

Papers says the UK won't be back to normal for for 6 month's, very depressing.

A lot of people are using web cams, I'm still waiting for mine to turn up then I can start using Zoom, Serve On had a virtual social session last might, but I couldn't join because I didn't have a web-camera.
