I haven't had much chance to write lately as I couldn't get near a PC, so I'm using my phone before I forget. Last night Wiltshire was in tier 2, but at Midnight we are now in tier 3! I'm a bit sad, as this means SP2 community cafe can't open now due to restrictions; so people who are lonely and need to chat can't now. I spent Christmas with my parents. I had a load of washing to do, ran out of airing space do I parked the bedsheets outside for a couple of hours. I got annoyed as I was late and still had to pack my trolley. I'm still in two minds about whether to get a heated airer, 6p an hour. Had a headache on christmas day, I put some decorations up, even though mum didn't want me to. I didn't sleep until dawn practically. 7000 people died of the virus on Christmas Day, ambulances were treating people in the carparks. They have closed Salisbury hospital to visitors, apart from the end of life care visitors.  The hospital was mentioned in the daily...

Penny rang me this morning, she can't see her sisters for Christmas as they live in Darlington which is close to London.  France and other countries have started banning UK flights into their countries, the Sun newspaper isn't helping by saying there will be food shortage's as it's fuelling panic buying. It was chaos at the train and bus stations full of people trying to flee the tier zones, one guy said it was like a war zone where the Chinese were fleeing before the Japanese invaded Singapore. The owner of a two-bedroom holiday house in Totnes in South Devon has received 28 requests from people begging to stay there since Saturday's Tier 4 announcement. Edith Hargreaves, 62, said: "We had friends of friends who had been past our details contacting us. "They were offering us more money to take them and each had their own story about why they needed to stay.   "One wanted it for eight weeks and was very insistent it had to be agreed on Saturday. ...

Bad news for some this morning> Firstly there is a new strain of Covid-19 which is more contagious so Boris has scrapped the five-day bubble plan for people in these areas and only Christmas day has been relaxed now.  the new strain has caused a surge in cases which is frankly terrifying. 15 million people will be banned from Christmas shopping after today - as non-essential retail is closed and people are told to stay at home, so if no one has finished in time then it's online.  I started in October but the post office now has a huge backlog of mail, so many may not get their gifts in time for Christmas. Also, it's been said that people trying to leave the restricted area's without good reason could be arrested and fined.   The list of areas placed under Tier 4 rules will be: Kent Buckinghamshire Berkshire Surrey (excluding Waverley) The boroughs of Gosport, Havant, Portsmouth, Rother and Hastings All 32 London boroughs and the city of London. Bedford, Central Be...

Teen agaers running around salisbury screaming their heads off, they were kicked out of school at 1pm and not one of them wearing face coverings.  Some of the staff who work for GWR trains have been infected by the virus, so the service won't be running very well over Christmas.   I went to Tesco very early this morning in the rain to get some Christmas food shopping, hopefully all i do now is get it up parents tommorrow.   I was meant to see Hugh in the garden but he had a bad back.  if Sanctuary take the pots on Sunday from Dot's, there's not a lot I can do about it as they are too heavy.  I managed to move some to under the tree.  My windmill blew out again so I've put it in a different pot.  I saw a girl from my past in SP2 yeterday, apparently she knew me at St Paul's.  she mentioned a teacher called Mrs Pike.  Mrs Pike may have been the teacher who took over from Mrs Foster in class one; or were they named after colours?  My m...

Went to St Paul's on Sunday, it's the second advent Sunday and lots of the children dressed up as shepards or Mary and Joseph, had to wait by the door as I didn't put my name down.  It's carols in the carpark next Sunday, I'm in two minds whether to go or not. Some people are coming before Christmas to clear out Dot's flat, I will save some of her pots as Sanctuary Housing will only trash them anyway.  i asked Hugh for advice, i hope he doesn't think I'm wierd. Looks like London is going to go into tier 3 because they have had a huge spike of Corona virus.  No one is bothering to social distance there, and these stupid protests against lockdown are making things worse.  None of them were wearing masks so they will catch it and put more pressure on the NHS, who are now choosing who has ventilators or not.  There will be an update on the news tonight as apparently cases are off the chart, schools have been closed and must go online. I tried social distanci...

Today a 99 year old man in Portsmouth recieved the first vaccine against Covid, I hope to God it works.  It tuns out that Sweden is worse then the UK, apparently schools have been shut until January; they never did a lockdown and now it's got worse! Bitterly cold out today, I didn't stay out very long, only to get a saenie and dinner from M and S.  I will bring up a turky tommorrow, I was going to get the crown only but now i may get a small bird seeing as there's only three of us this year.  Apparently there's an outbreak amongst turkeys up north from Avian flue, one type of flue is bad enough!   Lifestyles has closed for good, I'm really sad about that.  Thanks to the damned Chinise virus, there's now no social group for people with mental health or learning difficulties.  Been going for years, now it's all gone.  I used to love going to places like Swanage to see the fireworks, I will still do it but a bit differently now. I first met Li...

SP2 cafe opened today which was excellent, but the weather was wet today.   Been on the news there has been an explosion at Avonmouth in Bristol, at a water treatment facility; as if things couldn't get worse for people.  Four workers have died. I read on Amazon that you can buy an inflatable Jesus, what ever will they think of next!
