These 2 weeks are shooting past, I shall be sad to go on Saturday.  I went to the Mermaid pub and restaurant on Tuesday, such a fine sunny evening I decided to walk there which only took about 20 mins.  The views across the bay are stunning especially when the sun set's, but it can be a bit windy.

I went to Perrenporth that day which only takes 30 mins on the bus, the bus doesn't go into Perren sands holiday camp anymore as it does during the summer.  The cafĂ© I wanted to go to was closed, but I found a nice teashop up the road where I had a teacake and cake.  I am really worried about my weight, I need to exercise more.

I found 2 more solar dancing things, I collect these and some will be quite rare one day.  I might get another flower next time I visit.  I didn't use the public toilets as they look very dirty, even the disabled toilet looks manky.

I went to the beach at Perrenporth, the car park was full up already that's why I use the bus instead.  Went for a paddle the water was freezing, the lifeguards said that the water was at its warmest at 79d, if it's like that now it must be even worse during the summer!  lots of dogs on the beach, I photograph them for my Facebook page. They should put on a dog show.

There is an old RAF building by the airport that is still there, I reckon the place is haunted as it looks spooky.  The view towards Newquay in the distance is stunning as the bus pulls down into Porth, sometimes when the bus passes tree's leaves spray in through the window.

I got to the Mermaid and ordered some dinner as I had pre-booked the table, it was very busy I would have liked to have sat outside but they don't serve food outside.  I noticed that the light over the bar changed colours, this would be my favourite place to go if I came here more often.

I couldn't get a taxi back so I thought to sod this and walked back along the darkened beach.  There was a fire here and there on the beach, someone had tealights in a circle.  It was easy to see where to go as the sky was slightly lit up from all the lights from the street lamps, I've never seen a proper night sky and I would like to.

Got back ok and it was quite an adventure walking across the sand in the dark. I can see the Sainsburys sign in the distance, and string lights from the traveller's inn.

I went to the Lanherne pub last night, I've seen it on the bus going past, but never been there.

More expensive than the Mermaid I think, not far from Jackie's. They have a Victorian fireplace, also football played on TV so lots of cheering.

I went to Padstow and hired a bike to go to Wadebridge yesterday, I've done it before.  It takes about 45 minutes each way.  I had a ladies purple bike which funnily enough was a Dawes like mine, the handles are a bit wider.

Stopped halfway for a drink, the view over the estuary is stunning.  I got to Wadebridge and locked it up, it's one of those combination locks which I hate as I can't get on with them. I went to one cafe but it seemed it wasn't what I was looking for and the wooden seats were uncomfortable, found a cafe called Mad Hatters.

Once again they are short-staffed because they have been pinged and have to go into isolation even though they haven't got it.  The poor woman was doing it all by herself and only doing take away's, so I got a teacake and a slice of vanilla cake.

Found a bench to sit on, it was hot in the sun and the butter on the teacake melted.  Wadebridge isn't very big with one High Street with a couple of charity shops, I didn't bring my camera as I am experimenting with the camera on my phone.

The only pain is that the HD button keeps turning itself on making my photo's too sharp and overexposed, still prefer my SLR.

I had to get someone to undo the combination lock on my bike as I said, I can't get on with them.  Some people on the path have road sense, others don't by blocking the road or causing accidents.

I had 30 mins to kill in Padstow before getting the bus back, I always like some of the houses we pass on the bus. One house has a scythe hung above the door, bit deadly.

A wasp landed on my hand which I flicked off, a bloke swatted it. A bee also came through the window which is what I always try to save because they are good for the environment.

Hoping to visit Perrenporth again today, will give an update later.

The song 'only the sun by the Stranglers was playing, so I've added it to Spotify. A dragonfly flew into one of the charity shops, perhaps it was browsing! Need a butterfly net to get it out, imagine using that on shoplifters.

I love sandy beaches, love sitting on the sand listening to the roar of the waves. I walked up a steep hill where they have a huge sundial, also blasted rabbit holes to trip me up.

Someone keeps snoring at night, think it's upstairs. That couple from Andover went home today, be strange not to see them at breakfast tomorrow. My turn sadly on Saturday. Also sometimes I hear people on skateboards late at night, who would be skateboarding at Midnight?

I went for a walk to the harbor, a seal was following a boat in. The crew were making him/her do tricks like spinning and rewarding with fish.

Hoping to visit Falmouth tomorrow., But weather don't look good.
