I've been off air for a while because some things have happened.  Dad fell out of bed again so I had to wait with mum while they took him off to hospital, he was brought back via a taxi in a wheelchair because all the patient transport was unavailiable.  Poor taxi man was quite worn out poor man, so i took dad back to our house,  The stupid paving slabs which stick up didn't help by jolting him, I often trip over them myself.

I came to teignmouth yesterday, I love coming down here. I'm only down from Friday to monday but I'm planning to come down longer in June.  I had to change at Exeter Central this time instead of St Davids, have brought umbrella as it's said it's going to be wet.

I'm in room four this time, it's quite nice with a ships window as a mirror, the TV signal isn't great but never mind.  My window overlooks a place I stayed called Redsands which is just over the road, a lovely lady called Mrs Bullock used to run that.  She used to have a blind siamise cat and a dog.  Mum said she had a parrot, but I can't remember that.  Apparently she had a wooden leg and used to frequent the Endevour pub which is next door.

I went to Totness today and found time to go to Newton Abbot afterwards, think next time I'll spend the morning in Totness and the afternoon in Newton Abbot.  I really didn't see that many new agey shops in Totness, maybe a christales that was about all.  There is a long hill with just one line of shops, the train station is about 10 minutes walk away,

I went to a vegiterian cafe in Totness, it was ok, stopped at an X rebellion store; found it hard to hear because of the busker strumming away on an electrick guitar nearbye.

My left leg hurts after a while if I walk for a while, been an on going problem for months now and also the circulation in my right foot isn't brillient.

Brillient firework display from Sheldon beach tonight, I saw them preparing it yesterday with wooden crates.  lots of pumpkins in shop windows and people dressed up as witches and wizards tonight, the seafront was busy.  i could see the flashing lights on the buoys, the shipping lane is lit up with warning lights.  Funnily enough the light which shines on the Ness head was off, I also noticed lots of bonfires on the beach but the manin fire on Sheldon beach was terrific.

There are a few stars in the sky tonight.  i went up Barnpark road and finally discovered where my parents stayed when they came down in 1968 for their honeymoon all those years ago.  It's now private flats, byt the name Thatcher is displayed on the door.  I had a strong urge to open the front door to the lobby, perhaps someone was prompting me.

A bloke living their said the flats had been converted in the 1980's, dad says he can't remember a lot but I've taken some pictures for him.

When my parents went down in 68 it was boiling hot, mum did say about what some of the things they did then.  They did go to Exmouth on the boat from Star cross, but they only has a hour which I guess wasn't long.  There used to be lots of boat trips from the sea front but all that has changed now, Teignmouth is still nice even in the winter and I really would like to get down here.  Would I miss Salisbury?  Definetly not!

The light's along the seafront are different to what they used to be in the 1970's, some of them don't work.  The light house which has been there for centerie's has a red glow light
