Monday June 27th 2022

Apologies for taking so long to write, lots has happened in the past few weeks. The trains went on strike nationwide last Tuesday, so I had to get up early to get the Bath bus. I had another headache at about 4 pm, seems to throb worse a bit after taking one paracetamol and one Nuraphen express. Looks like the planes may be going on strike too, London underground has already followed suit  We go through some lovely villages, a lovely hot day today. The trouble with the bus is that I get to Warminster too early, so I have to hang around for an hour. We talked about designing a house for disabled people today, I also looked at it from an environmentally point of view. Got the bus back at 3. pm, stupid headache came back, so took more pills. The Russians bombed a shopping centre today, I don't know why because it didn't mean anything to them. There were lots of people inside, it's discriminant what they are doing! Monday 6th June 2021

Today I believe it's the anniversary of the D-Day landings in France in 1944, I expect everywhere around Calais is fully booked. But what a busy weekend it's been for the queen's platinum jubilee, 70 years on the throne. It's officially started on Wednesday of last week. I had just finished my writing class at the museum, we did drawings of dresses in the fashion dept which is upstairs. I walked to SP2 cafe with another girl, I was going to drop my bag off first. I had my camera with me and it was sunny, I didn't want to be weighed down. The city was heaving, especially by St High Street gate. People were racing to go to the station to get down to London for the celebrations. We ordered crown chicken in SP2 cafe and Kim had some brilliant music playing. The queen wants us all to come together and this will be her last Jubilee, as she's in her 90s. There's bunting everywhere in shop windows and people's homes, even our neighbours have put flags on the rai...
