I had constipation last night so I took one pill before bedtime, this morning I had a stomach ache as my guts were clenching, I came down to breakfast but went up again to try and use the toilet.  The pill did work but it was tough as I had a hypo which didn't help, I honestly thought the water wouldn't affect me in Teignmouth.

I got the no 22 bus to Torquay, I sat in the sunshine on the bus and thought about the past.  When I was a child coming here with my parents, things were different then.  Abba was in the charts so were the Carpenters and life seemed so exciting, but that's all gone now.  The sun shone like diamonds on the water, spoke to a woman who moved down here from Ringwood.  She was waiting for her mum, who used to work for the council; I'd love to live in Teignmouth.

Took three-quarters of an hour to get to Torquey, there are two villages Babbacombe and St Mary Church we passed through.  The no 12 bus for Brixham was already in, I notice there were lots of palm trees in people's gardens, and the climate is better there.

There is one long street in Brixham which leads to the harbour, I knew I came here with my parents but I can't remember where we went.  They have the Golden Hind ship in the bay which was captained by Francis Drake, it's not the original as it was destroyed by fire; even the one in London is a replica.  I discovered a lovely cafe which was all done in pink which is my favourite colour, with pink seats and wallpaper to match.  Even the tops of the tables were pink.

I found a nautical bathroom WC sign for my parents, I've also got them a beach hut bathroom pull.

I got the bus to Paignton, I didn't get on the first one as it was full up and it wasn't worth the risk.  I got off at the bus station and went down the right-hand side towards the beach.  Paignton was buzzing, there was a fanfare on the green and a parade of cars from various movies including Ghostbusters, Only fools and horses and Batman.

The pier is doing better than Teignmouth's I'm sad to say, my only niggle is I accidentally tripped over a woman's small Datchound!  Because of the dark fur, I couldn't see the dog and the silly owner wasn't being observant.  I only hope no child gets bitten.

I got the Gold bus back to Torquay, it's a brand by Stagecoach.  I decided to get the 17.40 bus back as I didn't want to get stranded. I would like to find out about the tour bus.

I heard the Dartmouth railway playing tunes on its whistle, very strange.

I went to Weatherspoons, and they have stopped doing pizzas as I was told it was the end of the season, yet they are still listed in their food menu!  The seagull was wandering about on the road outside, apparently, the security guards called it 'Steven seagull' after the actor.

I walked along the seafront and as usual, sat round the backwater, not much of a sunset as it vanished behind the clouds.  Tomorrow Sheldon Regatta starts, I'll catch 2 days of it if the weather holds hopefully.
