I saw a very bright star in the sky Monday night and thought it was the space station, it turned out to be Jupiter which is a gas giant and one of the brightest stars (or planet?) in the sky.  Jupiter is the closest it's ever been for 59 years and was on the news, people couldn't live on Jupiter as the weather is too extreame; imagine hurricain winds everyday all day all year round!

Fifth in line from the sun Jupiter (Roman ruler of the gods) is the largest planet in the solar system, the stripes on Jupiter are cold windy clouds of amonia and water floating in an atmosphere of hydrogen and helium.  Jupiter has a giant red spot which is a giant storm bigger than Earth which has been there for hundreds of years!  Jupiter takes 12 earth years to travel around the sun, spinning every ten hours.

I have joined a group called Socalise Salisbury which is on Facebook, I went to one of their meetings at Weatherspoons to help give ideas for a design on the logo.  They seem nice enough, but only time will tell.
