It tipped it down this morning, I was going to go to Britford with the walking for health group and hopefully get some jam, but I changed my mind.  I did the washing up and walked up Fisherton Street, then took cover at the vintage store as it began to rain hard again.  I'm doing a Christmas French knit for the crafty girls, it's going well so far.

I'm hoping to visit Weymouth on Saturday, I'm hoping the weather will be much better than today.  I had Cornish pasty, beans and mash today.  Jane who works at the cafe was telling me about her troubles with her mother who lives in Yeovil, then Kim made a shocking statement that the queen is dying!  I can't imagine life with another monarch, but she is in her 90s now.

I left at 2.30 and stopped at Franklin to get some silver thread for the green wool I'm adding to my Christmas tube.  I keep getting stupid heartburn, especially at night.  It seems to get worse when I look at my mobile phone screen.

Our new prime minister is going to put a cap on the energy price rises, some people say it won't be enough but I guess she can't please everyone.

Further note :(

The queen died peacefully this afternoon at Balmoral castle, I don't know any other monarch apart from her, I'm shocked and saddened.  Her family must be devastated and it will be all over the newspapers tomorrow, this is the end of an era which must be recorded.  When I left my parents the news on channel 5 was saying she was comfortable, it only took 20 minutes for me to get home on the bus, but by then as I switched on the TV she was sadly gone.  Who will do the Christmas speech now?
