Yesterday was the coronation of King Charles 3rd, the weather as always was wet and awful. The BBC news kicked off at 6pm on Friday, they are keen. Some mad people had pitched up tents along the Mall a week in advance to get the best spot as the gold carriage rolled by, I mean what do they do for a week? I had to get my hat from the tailors in Catherine Street before getting the bus, which they cancelled the first one anyway; damn Reds are a bloody pain in the ass! I got up to my parents as quickly as possible, I missed the parade but I watched the king and Camilla ( Queen consort ) get crowned. Those crowns must be heavy, and the gold coach dates from George the 3rds reign. It takes six horses to pull it and it wobbles from side to side as it moves; the queen said once it made her feel seasick. This is a historic moment, some people I've met say Charles won't be king for long as he's in his 70's now; my neighbor recons the monarchy will be gone in 2...
