I have come down to Newquay again which is my favourite place to be.  I went to a karaoke the night before at 57 Brown Street which is only across the road from my house, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go yet as I was a bit worried about getting things ready for my journey.

It was a good night, I made some friends with some other girl's.  I did get up and sing a song by Kean (oh Crystal ball) I still feel my voice is too high.  Some lads sang 'I feel like a woman' by Shania Twain, they literally slaughtered it as they had the mikes too close.  The speakers kept buzzing which hurt my ears, and I thought my singing was bad.

The following morning my neighbor Dan helped me take my case down stairs, I couldn't do it because of my back problems.  The weather was brilliant, but I was convinced it would be more breezier in Cornwall, what adventures I had.

I changed trains at Exeter St David's, then the train got cancelled at Plymouth!  I couldn't hear the announcement properly as a group of people who got on (one was a man wearing a woman's wig) kept laughing loudly over what was being said.

I had booked passenger assistance and a lady kindly helped me and another elderly lady into the lift and across to the opposite platform.  It was chaos as I think too many people tried to get onto the lift, one gent was very anxious about it.  Then the staff decided to change their minds and direct us back to the platform we had left, back into the lift then.

A lot of us had to get the next train to Penzance, as there weren't many carriages on the one which came; the next one had 9 carriages.  I felt a bit boxed in as I was put on a seat with no window, so I couldn't admire the view as we went over the Tamar bridge.  I was meant to get to Newquay at 3.15 but didn't arrive until almost 4.15!

Westward guesthouse.

I got off and was very surprised that the weather was hot, like Spain.  I quite like the DKNY as its much better and didn't drag like the other crap one I got in Weymouth.  I'm staying at a place called Westward Ho this year, it cost me £700 but its worth it.  I'm in room 5 which overlooks the street, the bed is more comfortable then the one at Jackie's although there's no fridge in the room.

I went for a walk to try and get a shaver adaptor for my toothbrush, I managed to get one in Argos.  There were a lot of people laughing loudly last night so I had to close the window, annoying as the room was hot.  I met lots of nice people at breakfast this morning, there was also a bowl of dried prunes which I'm going to eat 3 of before bed.  I found a bag of them in Holland and Barrett and I'm hoping they will stop me from being constipated due to the change of water, only time will tell.

I went for a walk into town but it started drizzling so I went into a cafĂ© opposite the harbour.  I had an omelet with cheese and salmon in, I'm trying to eat healthily.  I walked along Fistral beach to a cafe which is right at the end, I think I'm going to take the path that passes at the bottom of the golf course.  It's a lot easier, walking on sand is hard work and I've just recently had my toenails painted pink for £25; think they chipping already!

There's a lovely bench outside the hotel which is nice to sit on.  I did the nature trail which is very nice, the purple thistles are out.  Saw the air ambulance fly over, they must be looking for someone.  I haven't decided where I'm going tomorrow as yet, I'll have to check the info I picked up at the bus station.
