I've come back to Teignmouth for a week and a weekend, I'm very worried about my PIP as the DWP are stopping or reducing lots of people's so this could be the last time I visit here for a while which will devastate me.  If I'm taken off PIP I'm worried I could be put on Universal Credit from ESA and expected to find work, what work?  There's nothing out there except cleaning and shit no one else wants to do.  I couldn't work anyway because of my anxiety and back condition, the assessor at Fountain way made me feel like a scrounger trying to avoid work; what does she know?

The weather has been very varied, I think we got all the seasons in one day I think.  The Gulf stream has been stuck for month's so that summer has stayed in Europe and it's been like a  constant mild rainy Autumn here.  Also Greece and many other European countries have had wildfires due to climate change, supposed to get warmer here during the week, ony time will tell.

I went into the cats protection league shop in Teignmouth and they were playing sad songs about neglected cats on the street.  This isn't good for someone who has recently lost a cat and is a major head fuck up for anyone who's grieving or got mental health, why can they not play cat related songs instead of depressing people?  I had to leave as it was too sad to listen too, I love my neighbours cat Tommy and i will (like his owner) be very sad to see him go.

When I left Salisbury station from platform 3 to come here, the queau for the teas and coffees almost went down the underpass.  Apparently the train drivers are having a day off!

Those plums are certainly doing their job, rushed into The London Inn on Shaldon and The Diner; been four times today!  I went to the smugglers tunnel, my parents went to the secluded beach in the swinging 60's many years ago; Teignmouth was a very different place then.

I went to Exeter today, next time I'll be taking the train!  A lovely sunny day today, I got off at the bus station which  is only up the road from the city centre.  they have a big Red Heart shop and a Savers which is good for toiletries, being an M&S fan I went in there, I cant be bothered looking for new cafe's when I see the one's I know.

Last night I saw a flash of light while turning in bed, It could have been thunder but I heard no rumble, it scared the hell out of me all the same.  people are afraid of thunder because it's played a lot in horror films.

I wanted to visit the cathedral as I was told it was donation, but the bloke at reception told me that had ended the week before, it's £7 to get in so I wasn't going to pay that,  I went off down to the quay instead, about a 10 minute walk over a busy road, glad I had my sticks with me as there's a steep incline down into the quay.

There's lots of arty stuff in the quay, being a photographer I hope to start creating my own stuff, I managed to sell most of my landscapes up the hospital.  The run back to Teignmouth is very interesting, the bus passes through Star Cross which has a small harbour of it's own.

Went to Paignton and Dartmouth today, my sticks came in handy again for getting on and off the train, I didn't book in advance this time so I just paid at the ticket office; but I had to be back at a certain time.  Dartmouth isn't very big but I have a cafĂ© which I really like there called Mad hatters based on Alice in wonderland.

It drizzled a bit which I hate, rain seems to follow me everywhere.  I got the train back to Paignton, I love this area as complete strangers will come up and ask you how you are; nothing like Salisbury.

Walked along the seafront at Paignton, they have a fair on the green, apparently there's an Elvis Presley tribute tomorrow.  There's even an Elvis Presley themed bar which has a figure of the king doing his stuff.

Wandered round the pier, I'm not into gambling.  There's a plus red patterned carpet on the floor which must be a nightmare to hoover, they have blue vinyl on the Teignmouth pier where there used to be boards.

I arrived back at Teignmouth station which was very quiet, every time I pass it on the road in town it always reminds me that I have to return back to Salisbury.

Wednesday 16th August 2023

Off to Newton Abbott as it's their market day today, I got the bus, but next time I'll get the train.  The weather wasn't so bad, the bus went through a few housing estates and alongside the river Teign.  It stops by the market hall and Sainsburys.
