My folder arrived, so I've now put some of dad's comics in it. He also has Robin Hood books, with Richard Green which was once very popular.
I can't stop crying, I miss him so much. I'm never selling these books, they'll go to a museum after I've gone.
Some Christmas stuff is in the shops, but I'm going to hate it. Dad's no longer here to enjoy it with us.
Fisherton Street is finally finished, they've put a Padding Bear on one of the benches in front of the infirmary. He's very popular, how long before he's vandalized?
I still remember Clifton Road, the smell of the gasworks. I used to stand at my bedroom window which overlooked the back garden. I was supposed to be in bed all tucked up, but I saw dad having a ciggies by the outside WC. The glow lighting up, the outside WC had a light; no wonder people had chamber pots. Wouldn't fancy braving the bad weather to relive yourself.
Then there used to be a ruined building owned by the gasworks. Pigeons used to sit on the rafters, and there was a huge chimney.
It's all gone now, replaced by new houses. We had single glazing sash windows which used to stick.
