Breezy here in Newquay, time seems to be flying past as usual.  We got here ok, they put us in First class at Westbury.  Since then we have been to the zoo and I showed mum that Italian restaurant Tuesday which has the sea views.  I can't go fast this year because of mum's mobility issues.  The weather has been hit and miss, should be better next week.  Hoping to go to Falmouth today, went to Perranporth yesterday, there was a school group getting on the coach, seemed like they  were  down from the Midlands; also a lot of Yorkshire people down here it seems.

When I last came here Andrew and Rachel had a lovely Jack Russell, but she died six weeks ago, still feels strange that dad isn't with us in Newquay.  I saw a robin at the zoo, and a red Admiral butterfly by the bus station.  Supposed to mean spirits are near, maybe it was dad.  Why do things have to die?

The shower is lovely, I have to remember to turn the taps towards the left for on and too the right for off.  We are in a ground floor flat this year sharing a bed, the mattress ia nice (medium firm)  I don't get that tight feeling in my back when I lay down.  The only thing is mum turns the light on at 3pm to use the bathroom.

Went to Trenance gardens Sunday, they had a fate in aid of the air ambulance.  I entered a competition to win a stay at the Headland hotel, be nice to win it but I never win anything.  There's banana plants in Trenance gardens and a host of other plants that can't grow anywhere else in the UK.

Went to Falmouth on the bus, while at the bus stop the land train came along with 2 school groups.  They were of primary school age and very sweet, they went towards  Towen beach.  Mum hasn't been to Falmouth for age's, we can't do St ives this year as the bus people have changed to time table yet again, and have now made it almost virtually impossible to get to!

Lots of flags hanging across the streets of Falmouth, I could her them flapping in the breeze.  Went to the pier cafe and had some fish finger sarnie's, they said we had to wait 30 minutes to be served; more like 45!  There was a cruise liner in from California, supposed to be in Italian style.  Steam wasw coming out of the yellow funnel, not P&0 ans they have a star symbol on the funnel.

Caught the 5.50 bus back which was uneventful, the driver slammed the brakes on at every traffic light jolting everyone in their seats, driver said the brakes were awful and they are being scrapped next year.  I asked 'for electric?'  He said that they were getting all the old stuff from Bristol.
