Thursday 30th April 2020

Bit of a wet day today so I couldn't go out for a walk. I rang dad up on the ward yesterday and he seemed to be okay, he was sent home this afternoon which is good.  Mum is getting better at her texting, shame we can't do it more she will probably turn her phone off now.  I'm picking up a prescription from Wells chemist in Milford Street tomorrow, I'll try and do it in the morning. Marks and Spencer are selling hot cross buns for £0.25 so I'm mot going to look a gift horse in the mouth, only came in for a microwave meal.  Another Serve On Zoom meet tonight, I feel less lonely when Im chatting with the guys and gales, hope they don't think i'm an idiot.  Apparently in month's to come the public still have to stand two meters apart, pubs will be the last to open and staff in shops will have to wear masks.  they say it's the new norm

Weather was a bit wet this morning, I rang up to see how dad was in the hospital and he seems ok. I've got on my bike in the drizzle and took some newspapers over to mum, by the time I got to Ashfield Road it was absolutely chucking it down. I put some money on mum's phone, there was a queue outside the post office they were only allowing two people in in. In one of Andrew Deller's idiot friends went in and then there were suddenly 3, when there should only have been to 2! I replaced mum's phone in a trolley and then forgot to pick up the prescription so went back to get it. That's the thing about me is my stupid bad memory, saw a friend of mine called Ruby. We used to be in the Fisherton history group together, I first met them at the Duke of York pub.

Monday 27th April 2020

Yesterday morning I woke up to the sound of wood pigeons, unfortunately I slept badly last night and I was awake until the dawn chorus.  I have to hand it to the blackbirds, they make some lovely noises. Iheard the Bell at Cathedral Close ring 4.00 this morning at 4 a.m.  I'm quite surprised because I thought they switched the bell off during of a night, so the neighbours must really like that. Not It's really annoying when my body is tired but my brain won't switch off. I watched the movie The elephant man with John Hurt in until the early hours of the morning about 1.00. probably I shouldn't have watched it, as it was overstimulating for my brain. Everyday I text my parents to find out how they are. today dad had to go back into hospital as he was bleeding again, and is cafeteria got blocked. but now means that mum is on her own and I can't go anywhere near her, thanks for this stupid Chinese virus. I'm really worried at the moment because they have him o...

Friday 24th April 2020

Awoke to the sound of breaking glass this morning, on a Friday?  Rubbish day is usually on the Wednesday.  Roasting hot yesterday, I think I caught the sun whilst waiting by Tesco.  I went to Aldi on Wednesday, never again.  That London road is bumpy and lethal, there's no cycle path and lorries hurtle along it at god knows what speed.  I decided to go back through Laverstock village which is a lot safer, my parents were going to get a house in Laverstock but opted for Bemerton Heath instead I wonder how life would have been had we gone there instead of Bemerton Heath. Sat round cathedral gardens yesterday which was lovely, I watch star trek classic series every evening, so I'll think I'll record that because the weather is nice today.  I would have gone down Bournemouth yesterday had it not been due to this lock down, I'm really missing the seaside at the moment.  Lots of Robins like to furrige around cathedral close, its lovely the birdsong.  ...

Monday 20th April 2020

My garden fan I got from Home Bargains keeps falling over, had to use tape on it because the rubber seal that was on the front came off and it fell apart.  It's rainbow coloured for the NHS and I stuck it in the lawn first, then the stupid end came out, so i had to dig it out!  I wish life was back to normal, I'm getting slowly used to the sight of people walking about with masks on their faces.  It's all doom and gloom in the Sun newspaper, they say we will have to live with this virus for the rest of our lives.  So now I'm worried about not seeing my parents for years in case I infect and kill them and my friends. The Midlands in the UK is the worst hot area for the corona virus outside London, yet they still try to sneak into Dorset, Devon and Cornwall bringing their damned germs with them.  One group from Leeds came all the way down to Bournemouth in an uninsured car, if we have an outbreak we have covididiots from the Midlands to blame.  I've never...

I had horrid heartburn yesterday followed by anxiety which didn't help, I need to eat meals a bit earlier.  I started worrying that I had caught Covid-19 because I had been speaking to someone at big Tesco who had been smoking. The weather was a bit dull yesterday, but today its great.  Someone was whizzing down either brown street or Catherine street on their motorbike during the early hours this morning, making use of the empty roads no doubt. I rearranged my furniture yesterday and moved my pink drawers into my bedroom and DVD case onto y landing, works a bit better.  As soon as i get rid of that old TV unit and move my shoes, then i can think about ordering the washing machine when the lock down is over. The medical people working in the hospitals are complaining that there isn't enough PPE for staff to wear, and quite rightly too.  This is a shambles and nurses and Dr's have died because they were not protected.  A supply was supposed to come from tur...

Friday April 17th

Weathers a bit gray today, but it was lovely yesterday.  I went to Tesco extra on Southampton road and the waiting time was horrendous, so I'll doubt if I will wait there again if that's bad.  I had heartburn last night, and its back again today, It comes in waves so I hope it's not a sign of Corona.  Even B and M have a waiting time to get in, althrough their so called glass protective panels are not good. I clapped for the NHS last night and took a video with my phone.  Going to stop now as chest is really hurting.

Tuesday 14th April - weather sunny but chilly

Tried to move some money from Santanda to Nationwide this morning but Nationwide are not doing book accounts, so i'll have to look after it until things settle down, which will probably be month's. I've heard on the news that the Corona virus has now spread like wild fire around care homes, is nowhere safe anymore.  People are still ignoring the lock-down rules with people driving hundreds of miles to Christchurch from London, and bringing the virus with them.  There will soon be a outbreak of disease in the town which will spread rapidly to the elderly residents that live there, these Londoners are thoughtless! Had the usual 12.30 meeting with Serve On.  Dan records the meetings, he's one of the leaders (apart from Craig) he used to be in the fire service.  We talked about films until it was time, I watched Sinister last night, I've seen it before.  Dropped some Camp coffee to parents and collected another webcam from Richard's house, I've got to lear...

Sunday 12th April 2020

This is the first Easter I have spent on my own without family, it feels rather lonely.  Lovely sunny day today, so I sat in the garden on my pillow with my kindle. I had a parasol with a clip on but it doesn't fit the bench as it's too big so I had to hold it with knee's.  Aunt Joan called me on a video link through 'Whats app', a lot of video software is being downloaded because of the lock-down.  I was surprised the WIFI lasted, as it usually shorts out and refuses to re-connect.  Aunt Joan looks like gran, gran had black hair, but then I always thought mum looked like gran, she lived in South newton village when the Spanish flu was on, I don't know about grandad.  I saw the police helicopter hovering over several times to make sure no one was in Elizabeth gardens or Greencroft park, they will report if they see anything or anyone who shouldn't be out. But apparently I've heard it was called out because gunshots had also been reported in the Harnha...

Saturday 12th April 2020

Sad news, one of the cathedral  perigrin's had our blackbird for supper, one of the neighbours saw him hunted. The garden den is now quiet, no chirping. All I can hear is cars going along the road, and bus engines. Sunday is supposed to be cooler, hope not too much. Corona victims say they lose their Sense of smell and are now experiencing a 'fizzing' sensation on their skin. Will this nightmare ever end? I went for a walk around Cathedral close, it was so quiet you can hear a pin drop. I can hear birdsong and I had an idea of what it must have sounded like many years ago, the only fly in the ointment was a silly motorbike on the road in the distance. it's a pain that road, you can hear a distant rumble even on the quietest days in the close, I haven't seen any long haul planes flying over for ages now or through when I was sat in the garden, a plane came over it was double engined, and it must have been dropping off supplies to the hospital. tomorrow is suppo...

Friday 10th April 2020

Awoke to the sound of breaking glass, refuge people were emptying bottles into a van. Also heard our blackbird in the garden, I think he has a nest in one of the bushes.  Got some stuff from Tesco the queau is still long, people are fascinated with the trout jumping out the water to eat the flies. Gnats also swarm in the air which is annoying, they end up getting in my mouth (extra meat). Sat round the back garden after disinfecting shopping. Our blackbird is happy about us sitting in the sun, he actually tried to dive bomb me while I was under the tree. Cycled to Home Bargains and Helfords. Helfords put some air in my tyres, seeing as they are the only cycle shop open they are better than nothing. This shows I don't need to get the park and ride to Southampton Road when I go shopping, I can cycle instead. Still people are breaking the law and going out, they each accuse each other of having a 'jolly' down the beach. They forget about all the people who are autistic...

Thursday the 9th of April 2020

I haven't written for a few days, but a few things have come up. a few days ago Boris Johnson was admitted to intensive care because of the coronavirus, he's still there but he's getting better slowly. the weather has been marvellous, I've been going for walks around Cathedral close; one area of the Close has a village feel which is very nice. I did a zoom meeting with Serve On, on Monday. It went very well and was to do with Portsmouth and their i r t, that was until the microphone decided to develop a problem and lock me out of the meeting. I could see people talking but I couldn't hear what they were saying, I got into a panic and rang Craig up and had to leave the meeting and he had the same me back in again and it was working ok after that. We have a meeting tonight, I hope the mic doesn't play up again. I actually heard the dawn chorus this morning, usually is drowned out by the sound of traffic but I heard blackbirds clearly singing this morning whi...

Sunday 5th April 2020 - weather lovely and warm

They said today was going to be nice, and they weren't wrong.  I got up and had breakfast then into the shower, now have a load of washing to do,  sat in the back garden I love watching my windmills spinning.  Saw moonlight coming in through the window last night, I will have to find out when the next new moon is. I heard that my neighbor (Paul) kept ringing the emergency services for an ambulance, as if they haven't enough to deal with already.  There was another girl there, she looks like she has problems herself, but I;m sure her hearts in a good place.  Emergency services told him not to call again and two of his care workers came round to tell him off, they wouldn't enter the flat because of the smell apparently.  I went for mu usual walk around Elizabeth gardens and cathedral close.  new Street was so quiet as I walked along, I can actually hear the birds singing, also my damned Tinnitus; the only fly in the ointment is knowing a killer vir...

Saturday April 4 2010- weather is lovely

I sat in the garden this morning, we have a black bird flying around, last year they had babies.  I have installed some more small windmills, hope their left alone! I cycled up to parents with some stuff this morning, first I had to stop at Rita's house behind the Shell garage in Wilton Road with some stuff for Corrine.  Rita used to be in charge of Salisbury spiritualist church  along Wilton road, Corrine I helped do her shopping when this epidemic (now a pandemic) first broke out.  She has no immune system so can't go into shops, she came to town with her son and they live at Fordingbridge in Hampshire. I pressed the wrong doorbell at first upon arriving at Rita's, I should have pressed the top one, and not the bottom one.  I went up to parents next, I have to be quiet because I don't want them to hear me and come out.  I heard them talking as i sneaked into the porch and dropped off stuff, I'm always worried that the stupid neighbour will open the wi...

The Queau was horrendouse at Tesco metrol, half way round to Iceland, so I thought sod this and went to Iceland instead. Apparently Prince Charles opened the new Nightingale hospital ( containing 4,000 beds ) by video link this morning, i thought it was opening some days ago.  Also children are being asked to do drawings to put on the wall's of the wards, this is so heart warming.   I'm still impressed with Zoom but can only use it on my laptop as the mail seems to have ground to a halt up Richard's area ( still no camera, I should have bought one! ) Apparently there is a morgue in the Salisbury hospital car park, bit macarbe and sad.  I think I'm doing Lidle's in the afternoon tommorrow.  The Queen is going to address the nation from Winsor on Sunday, I think Easter has gone down the swanny. It's sunny out there and how I'm missng Cornwall and Devon, I live the seaside and its times like this is really pulls at my heart.  The say it's going to ...

Thursday

Cleaned the bathroom this morning after having some toast, I found some flash wipes silver Dettol wipes are originally was going to use I put away in the drawer. Spent the rest of the afternoon trying to put Windows Defender on my laptop, I'm thinking of upgrading the laptop one day when this is all over. as usual the updates getting stuck, so I remove all my pictures that I had on my laptop and I had to keep restarting repeatedly. Went for a walk around the cathedral close to clear my head, then Gary from Mind rang me up which was a nice surprise. I miss all the guys at the Mind group, so I go up there for the company in for other people to talk to cause I get very lonely in my flat sometimes. I rang up Craig from Serve On to set up Zoom on my laptop, I tried installing the McAfee on my laptop. I'm a bit annoyed because the key number which was on the back hidden under the tape was pulled off by the tape, so now I can't see the serial number properly. Windows Defender will...

Wednesday April first. Weather - Sunny morning, clouded over.

What a palava, no April Fools joking today ( I bet everyone's forgotten it due to Corona ). I heard the rubbish vans going around this morning which is good.  My dad rang up this morning saying his catheta wasn't working and was blocked, I suffer from anxiety which didn't do it much good.  I rang up the District nurse in Wilton, they said they had recieved a message.  She sounded very patronising, my dad is a human being not a statistic ( makes me sound like the Prisoner) ' I'm a human being not a number '.  She didn't know when the nurse would be coming even through he's in pain! I mixed my daily walk with getting stuff, wandered round Elizabeth Gardens, it was peaceful listening to the birds and hearing the river running past.  The playground has been sealed off with red and white tape, never seen the streets so empty like this. Sweden are going to end up like Italy, they are refusing a lock down, silly people.  More death's have been report...
