Seems like half of wales has the virus now.  I scan the NHS app now everywhere I can, but not all shops have them.  The app says we are on mild in Wiltshire but its still worrying, I'm getting used to people wearing masks now, its the northern parts of the UK where it's getting bad again.  The former BHS shop in the george mall are open on cetain days to do the flu jabs, this is for the bog standard version, not the killer one as yet.  I met parents in town today and I had to go to Endless street to make an appointment, they are going fast so I have to get in quick.   I gave some of Dot's geraniums to mum, another pot will go up St Paul's cafe tommorrow.  Burnley is now the UK's worst affected area.   My back is still playing up, I need to find a chiropractor; heard there's one in Wilton but dunno what they like?  swaped greenhouses in the garden yesterday, smaller one looks much better.

I Went up parents for dinner and watched an black and white version of Oliver Twist, it was made in 1947 or 48, it was different I suppose.  I have read the book and this has got me thinking, even more after watching the drama Dickensian.  Dickensian tell you about the characters backgrounds including how miss Havisham got to be like she was, why the noble lady in Bleak House was so sad; and about Oliver Twist and his parents background. Oliver twist was written about 1838 and set in the 1820's, so his mother ( Agnus Fleming ) would have been pregnant about the regency period, she would have been 19 years old.  His father ( Edwin Leeford ) who was also a friend of Agnuse's father, went off to Rome in the pursuit of economic wealth leaving his mistress behind. A relative had died leaving him quite a lot of money,  so he had to go to Rome to settle the will etc.  But sadly the day after he arrived, he contracted an illness from which killed him. They must h...

Sunny but very windy day today, had to stand some plants up and put one of my garden fans in the shed because it broke off.  There wasn't a lot of people at the happy cafe this morning, I guess the rule of six may of put some people off.  I tried the new QR code at the Arts centre but it wasn't recognised, also they are insisting that you have to pay £1 in coins for a mask which is wrong as the government clearly states we have to pay by card only. Weatherspons are only serving people by the app only, so if you have an older phone that doesn't like you to down load the weatherspoon app; then you can't go in there.  I can see this affecting a lot of the older geneation, especially those with the Dorro phones like my parents have; I have already seen two people walk out in a huff.  the string on my disposable mask snapped which isn't good! I might see if I can take some photo's of the friary for the museum, I'll do it during the week when it's quiet.  Only...

It rained bloody hard last night, I heard it in the early hours while in bed. I'm a bit worried about the Peace lily but I took it up SP2 cafe so Erin has it now.  A man got kicked off a train today in London for refusing to wear a mask, unless he's wearing the daffodil lanyard there's no bloody excuse!  I still wear my mask on public transport even through it steams up my glasses, there is even a new Covid advert been released in Scotland.   Some are calling the advert ' scaremongering ' and want it to be banned, I say NO!!!  If assholes want to be planks and bury their heads in the sand hoping the problem is going to vanish, then they are sadly mistaken as it won't.  The virus is invisible and is a deadly killer, can people not get that through their heads.  I'd die if my parents caught this because they wouldn't survive and I couldn't live with that thought.  It's going to be bad enough for me when they do go because of old...

Things are not looking good as the virus infection rate is going up again.  Hundreds of uni students at  Abertay University in Dundee have to isolate as they have tested postive for the virus.   There's been 486 cases already in Scotland in the past 24hrs which is really frightening; households have been banned from mixing from today.  Apparently the students are bored self isolating as that's where things go wrong. Back home ehere, I went to SP2 for the first time since March.  the sofa has been removed and screens have gone up, doesn't look family friendly anymore but I'm glad of the company.  I saw Hannah today but the screen seperating us made it hard for us to hear what we were saying. The rain letrally belted down at about 1.00, I hope my plants were ok?  I had to stand the Peach rose up again; Erins hopefully going to give it a good home.  I spoke to a guy who works as a porter at the railway station and who also had a bike accident wh...

I haven't writen in a while but things have happened.  All the pubs, resturants and bars etc have to close by 10am now because the virus is rasing again, and I'm worried sick.  Also Dublin has gone into lockdown and panic buying is startting again.  Everywhere must do the track and trace, even weatherspoons, althrough I sat outside.  I hope to God we don't have another national lockdown, These infections are caused by all the idiots who swooped to Bournemouth and other beaches no doubt during the summer. All retail staff will have to wear face coverings, I notice some people who work in Tesco don't.  People are being told to work from home if they can, apparently 5 aside football is banned; I thought it already was.  People are only allowed to have 15 guests at their weddings and I can still meet my parents which is brillient.  I was worried I would have to stay away from them again, I am NOT spencing Christmas on my own like I did at easter.  tha...

I'm supposed to reset my TV because Pick is moving to another channel. this is a pain because sometimes the settings on my Humax box move and are sometimes where they are not supposed to be.  Dot's brother has been at her house looking for her will, I just guess we will just have to get used to her not being around anymore Some one sent me a text last night that Paul Perritt had died from the Corona virus, but someone else is saying he's still alive.  people shouldn't speculate on some one's life, although he does look skinny he looks alive to me according to the photo were were sent on facebook. Another part of Wales including the North east has gone into lockdown, all pubs and cafe's have to close by 10pm and unless they are in the bubble; people cant meet up with friends etc.  I bet you idiots will still try and sneak out, the government are making noises about a national lock down; this will be horrifying and I'm not spending Christmas on my own like I d...

I received some very sad news from Lisa on Sunday that Dot my dear friend and neighbor had died in hospital, I am shocked and saddened.  I was watching Bramwell and I knew it had to be something to do with Dot, she had gone into hospital with a leg infection; but the antibiotics were not working so it's the end of an era.  She will leave a huge void in our lives, I can't believe she has gone.  I used to chat to her talking about the woes of life, and she and lisa were very close. She used to be part of the salvation army helping in their charity shop and at Horatio's garden up the hospital, it was her that made the garden great where I live.  We will look after her pond and lillie's and keep her memory alive, ever since Chris died we used to chat about him now she's gone too.  Another star has joined the heavens and I will never forget her as long as I live. The new labour leader is in isolation as he has got the lurgy.  I'm worried as it seems to be flarin...

It's the annivary of the Twin Towers terroist attack today. I went to happy cafe at the arts centre this morning, it's a bit like the Mind group I go to at SP2.  It was great to see all my friends again.  Started off sunny but its now gone a bit cloudy, I had to line up to get into the arts centre, they have an arts display on at the moment where people show off their work.  One looks like a red doormat hanging on the wall, my tatty old rug would have been better me thinks. Apparently the top brass are working on a vaccine called the Oxford vaccine, some say it will be ready by Christmas ( they said WW1 would be over by then, it wasn't! ) other's are saying it won't be ready until the new year.   Birmingham are going into lockdown on Tuesday, lots of familie's congregate together up there, and there's also some dimwitted covidiots there too.  Some of the pubs and bars have been flouting the test and trace forms, no wonder its spread!  I spoke to a blok...

I sat by the tomb of St Osmond in the cathedral today, his tomb has healing powers and I need some for my back.  it's wierd seeing all the vergers and clergy wearing masks, but thngs are changing now.     Boris Johnson has made a rule that only six people can only meet now starting from Monday and will last three month's; flouters will be fined £100 or more. This is because the younger people in their 20's and below are not social distencing, and it's like they don't bloody care! Apparently if we don't do something now, it will put Christmas under threat for millions, well I'm not going to let it ruin ours.  There will be no parties this year apart for private families, I doubt if we will go up aunt Joans this year; last time was because of the beast from the East.  There's going to be exceptions for weddings ( only 30 people ) and funerals, work and schools; one parent has already moved her child because the stupid teachers said that masks had to be rem...

It was aunt Joans birthday yesterday, she went home on the saturday before; house seems quiet after she had left.   My guts started playing up on Friday, must have been that cold seat I sat on while waiting for the bus; went to the loo four times!  This always happens to me when I see aunt Joan off, I have to rush to the damned toilet.   I had a wierd dream that a man who was well off fancied the gardener, I remember in the dream a loud voice shouted ' why don't you admit your gay !'  I've had some wierd one's, but this cold make a good story.  The gardener already had a girl with blond hair, so the man who also had blond hair grew it long.  Dont ask me what this means, I don't understand it myself; all I know is that it was set in the regency period. I went to West Quay in Southampton yesterday to get a Arsted floor lamp.  I barrowed mum's sholley trolley.  I managed to get it on the bus, went through Alberberry and Whaddon, Totton and ...

Jackie from the Harrington rang me last night, thanks to the cursed Covid-19 she might have to close which I find rather upsetting.  Every year we go to newquay in Cornwall for our annual two week holiday, this year is the first time we haven't been for years.  I want to go again next year but I might be on my own this time which is something I'm going to have to get used to.  I remember the first time we went. We used to go with National Express because the train was too expensive, If I known then what I know now then i would have taken the train earlier.      Me and my parents used to go to Mill Stream coach park, sometimes the coach( due at 10.35 ) was late which was annoying as we had to change buses at Bristol bus station and i was worried about missing it as we had to be there by 1pm.  We would go through Warminster ( which I always called a half horse town ) and through Bath and onto Bristol.  parents would always rush o...

I can't believe it's september already, it's still nice weather.  I notice one of my lavandar plants has decided to flower, had to pull out a few weeds that were trying to sneakily grow through. Had some sad news last week that my friend Nikki from Steam punks died whilst in Greece.  We only saw her at the meeting at Sarum castle last week, and she was chatting about how she was looking forward to going!  I shall miss her, she was one of the first people I met when I joined; I can't believe she's gone.  We are still trying to find out what happened. Aunt Joan came down last Sunday, she fancies a chnage of scenary, can't say I blame her.  We can't go anywhere much because of the stupid virus, a plane coming in from Spain the other night had to be isolated because they were all infected!   The schools went back yesterday, one school had delayed it's opening because some of the pupils were showing signs of the disease, it's doesn't give up does it? ...
