Most of the petrol stations in the UK have either ran out of fuel and waiting for delivery, or running low. People are still panic buying, special visas have been given to foreign HGV drivers. Hopefully, emergency services etc. have their supply, I hope it doesn't affect the buses. I cycled to Macklin road to pick up a digital photo frame, and which I hope to use in a trade show called Art in the arches at the arts center.  I was worried because of my autism, that the lady might think I was a right weirdo. She put a name to me feeling awkward and said it was 'imposter syndrome. She's right, I do feel like a fraud among all these professionals. I received some useful tips, including how I should have Lightroom. I'd love Lightroom but it's £10 per month, but it would help me greatly. Also, I should upgrade my Photoshop Elements, I'm checking all this out. I've borrowed her RPS booklet which I must return to her, make bedtime reading.

Panic everywhere all over the UK this week. it seems, all because the gas prices are going up, and the CO2 emissions being caused by gas barbeques. I was talking to Erin on Wednesday in the SP2 cafĂ©. Apparently, because of certain situations, I don't understand, it could threaten all of us having turkeys at Christmas this year. I bet the turkeys are relieved.  All our gas bills are going up, and people are getting into a panic about putting petrol or fuel into their cars. The government say they have plenty of fuel and have told the public not to panic buy, but this all falls on deaf ears and they will get into panic anyway. It's being blamed on Covid and Brexit. A marathon is coming through Salisbury in October, Fisherton street will be closed for an hour.  Everything is being blamed on Covid.

Depressing grey day today, plus also I had to go home back to Spilsbury. Managed to get things packed the evening before, sorted out leaflets to keep and throw out. I've had some adventures these two weeks, like the cockatiel who keeps saying 'Allo Allo what's going on here then?'. He learnt that from a machine in the arcade's, now he repeats it. Every morning I'd watch the parents walk past Jackie's while taking their kids to the school. Coaches were come and park in the space by the station, probably after kicking everyone off at the hotel's.  I know people find me weird and annoying because of my autism, but hey ho. Shit happens. My last breakfast (I sound like the condemned) was a banana as they'd run out of fruit and fiber. Jackie is a great host and Donna is nice too, but I'll be back in May.  I left a few bits in the room fridge, it hums occasionally during the night. I think the rooms are haunted, sometimes the curtains move even though...

These 2 weeks are shooting past, I shall be sad to go on Saturday.  I went to the Mermaid pub and restaurant on Tuesday, such a fine sunny evening I decided to walk there which only took about 20 mins.  The views across the bay are stunning especially when the sun set's, but it can be a bit windy.  I went to Perrenporth that day which only takes 30 mins on the bus, the bus doesn't go into Perren sands holiday camp anymore as it does during the summer.  The cafĂ© I wanted to go to was closed, but I found a nice teashop up the road where I had a teacake and cake.  I am really worried about my weight, I need to exercise more.   I found 2 more solar dancing things, I collect these and some will be quite rare one day.  I might get another flower next time I visit.  I didn't use the public toilets as they look very dirty, even the disabled toilet looks manky.  I went to the beach at Perrenporth, the car park was full up already that's...

Sunday 12th September 2021

Bit grey this morning, I think the warm Weather could be coming to an end.  I went to a fate in Trenence gardens this afternoon, I bought some walking trousers first from Millets which owns Blacks the camp shop. There is a retro arcade game in town, the noises of the space invaders bring it all back. They don't make them like that anymore. I waited at the Western hotel for the land train, the event started at 11.00 and it was 12.00 before I got down there.  There was lots of craft stores and an all men's singing group which was good.  The cream tea I had at Trenence cottages was massive, so I put the rest in a doggie bag. I went to Truro yesterday, got on a bus to the bus station although I can get a bus which stops outside the museum.  had lunch in the cafe, but it pricy so I'll go to a cafe in town next time.  The museum tickets enable me to come back for free next year, Covid hasn't ruined that yet,   I picked up some picture string from the hardwar...

Wednesday 8th September 2021

Today is a wet grey changeable day, yesterday was awesome like the Med.  I went to Padstow yesterday on an open-top bus called the coaster, I went to the office of the bus station to ask about the timings.  The lady behind the desk is new and said the bus was not here for another hour which I found frustrating, then it rolled into the forecourt!  I asked the driver and he said what she told me was wrong, it was because it was not their bus company, but a company called First; theirs is called buses for Cornwall I think. Decided to dress in pink because it's my favourite colour, the open-top bus whizzed through the countryside of which we don't see the like of anymore in the UK, apart from maybe Wales and Scotland.  here the houses are made out of flint and stone, not the usual brick people see in the rest of the UK.  Some of the gardens are very nice and spacious, one house has a scythe hung up above the door; home of the apocalypse? I notice a lot of houses hav...

Sunday 5th September (2nd day in Newquay)

I'm in Newquay for two weeks, and what a palaver it took to get here.  I had a phone call on Friday to say my train had been cancelled so I wouldn't be travelling on the 9.47 and would be travelling on the 11.47 instead.  I wrote this all down on a piece of paper, then on Saturday morning, I received another call saying that the train had also been cancelled. if I could get to the station at 11.00, there would be a train at 11.30.  I booked passenger assistance so someone called Tony helped me, just as well as the case weighed a ton. it was a sunny morning as I left Salisbury and I went to M and S to get sandwiches but forgot a drink. I was going to get a taxi but opted for the bus instead, this is the first time I have tried out my pink suitcase which is smaller than my old one which was a bit awkward. the old one has gone to Salisbury museum for them to put their costumes in whenever they travel from place to place. Am I writing history?  Well, I don't know a...

Wednesday 1st September 2021

I can't believe it's September already, how summer has flown by I shall miss the warm days and the sunshine, let's hope I get good weather in Newquay. When I was 7 years old ( I believe it was a Sunday ) I was sat on a small footstool and flipped through some of the gran's photo albums that had been left there.  I came across a photo of gran, grandad, aunt Maria, aunt Joan and mum all sat posing for a photo which had been taken in Bournemouth.  I suddenly started crying because it all seemed so sad that half of them were now gone and I couldn't be with them.  For some stupid reason I thought if I could, I would join them in the photo and never have to say goodbye.  But sadly life doesn't work that way and death is so cruel. I remember when Aunt Maria was in the hospital and I wasn't allowed to visit her, now I know why because her immune system was messed up.  A lot of it was to do with her smoking, I can just about remember her and also bein...
