I had my exercise in Victoria park, the weather was much nicer thankfully although I'll pay for it yet with an achy body.  Aunt Joan and cousin alan come down tomorrow, I don't mind Alan except for his critical nitpicking.  I'll have to hide my webcam from him. Australia is a green zone now meaning that they have got rid of the coronavirus, but they have problems with thousands of mice swarming about now.  I reckon their lockdown drove them mad, and the little rodents are going berserk now; a bit like us humans. Getting bad again with the Indian virus spreading in Bolton, been two cases of it in Dorset, I hope we don't go into another lockdown again.  I'm going away the first two weeks of September, so I don't that ruined.  matches Chester, Burnley and Bury are predicted to be hit next, soon as we get rid of one, another variant comes along! Bolton has the highest rate and Boris had said that June 21st looks in doubt now and restrictions may have to wait.  ...

It doesn't feel like may today, more like April with grey skies and drizzle.  I went back to SP2  cafe on Thursday which was brilliant, lovely to see all the guys again.  I also had my walking group in Victoria Park which I wasn't looking forward to as the weather had turned. I went anyway.  Glad I did because the rain went off, but it was still very windy.   I went to a farm today with the camera club which has horses on, Richard picked me up at 9.15.  It's a bit out on the sticks towards White Parish village, the grape seed is out with yellow fields a sign of better weather; not at the moment it isn't!  Photographed a model with blond hair, she must have been freezing in the dress she wore.  I don't normally do model's as it's not my forte, the area was very scenic though.  We met some very nice horses including an Appaloosa, the kind the native Indian's rode.  There was a lovely brown horse who was a right character and tr...

Hammered it down as I got off the bus at the top of Festival Avenue, I knew something was up as I saw the darkening sky from the bus by Hastings Court.  The lady in the power chair must have been soaked as she got off, I think she comes from Ragland Court where Brian lives.  A river was running down Festival Avenue, I wasn't going out in that so I sheltered under the bus stop.  My appointment came through yesterday for my second Covid 19 jab, but it was for Saturday which I can't do as I have an event with the Salisbury photography club; they have changed their name due to the Journal having a similar name.  The camera club has been there since the 19th century and the Journal go and copy our name! I got the jab now rearranged at Leaden Hall in the close. It was originally meant for June but because of the Indian virus, all jabs have been brought speedily forward.

A very wet day in Salisbury today, I'm glad I took all my charity stuff found to Mencap yesterday. A lot of flooding on Bemerton Heath, a lot of buttercups out too creating yellow carpets on the grass. I did my walking group at Victoria park, I was knackered before I began. There is now a cafe where the old bowling club used to be, a shame they haven't used the bowling green. Their lease runs out in September. Watched the Posiden adventure about a cruise liner hit by a tidal wave, there's more detail in the book. Why are disaster movies set during the 1970s? Talking of disasters. Everyone is worried about this Indian variant, they say on the news that it could threaten the easing of lockdown on June 21st. That's when I come back from Devon, I've already booked, so I'm not cancelling again! Our stupid dithering government let people fly in from India, even though they knew it was an infected country.  It's like they want another wave to happen, so they'...

Sunday 9th May 2021

Yesterday was not a day to go out, it was very wet and windy. My dad likes game shows and watches them all afternoon, I don't mind them. Also watches westerns. I'm getting to know some of the actors now like Audie Murphy, John Wayne and Randolph Scott. Gran liked John Wayne and Indians with their bows and arrows. She would have loved Dances with Wolves, an awesome film. Norman Wisdom films gran liked. Saw an old friend at the bus stop today by the clock tower called Diane, who was with her husband. She used to be at the day centre with mum, she used to do their nails.  Mum mentioned cookies sometimes, she used to hibernate in the kitchen. She died of diabetes apparently, she was also a great cook. Not too cold today, I'll have to shave my legs soon. Alan's staying at the end of May, I don't mind him staying except he's very heavy-handed. Also causes pointless arguments over nothing. The stupid thing people's do on TV, like when they greet each other people b...

Thursday 6th May 2021.

It doesn't feel like May at all, more like March. It was windy as buggery 2 days ok and raining, why is it always gusty when it rains?  Mum said the neighbour's fence blew flat over, and then stood up again. I put a picture up for display last Sunday at the Plain Arts tent in the arts fayre in the market square. Had to get a frame from the Range, had to wait a while as it was lashing down. Every time I want to do something, it bloody rains.  Some of the tents blew over in the wind, I chased after a sketched frame that was blowing across the stones. The fayre is run by someone called Sally. I don't think she understands my autism and views me as a bit ' odd '. She's a photographer like me and is everything I ' don't  want to be! Eg snobby and a bit abrupt. Apparently, on the news the G7 meeting in London had two people prove positive with the Indian virus! They're now in isolation, but not before one of them shook hands with Patty Patell the foreign s...
