Tuesday 25th October 2022

It's my birthday on 27th October, but no one is interested. Big 50 but no one gives a damn, be quiet as usual nothing like what Penny had on Saturday. Liz Truss has resigned as PM, and Ritchy Sunack is the new PM. Only time will tell what he'll be like. I bought a birthday cake for the community cafe from M&S, the cafe at the Baptist church & SP2 is my safe place. Hung washing out, was damp when I brought it back in. The cafe at the Arts Centre is closing, his stupid is that? Their blaming it on Covid and the energy crisis, we have Dig in there tomorrow so we'll go elsewhere in future. My hair needs cutting, I get round to it eventually.

I'm depressed, Thursday is my birthday and as per usual, it's going to be quiet like an ordinary day. I did think of visiting Weymouth, but according to my weather app, it's going to be thundery so that's put a stop to that. I reacted to the covid jab last Thursday, I knew I would. I was going to have a lazy Friday, but mum rang up saying dad was sick. I got dressed and went up there.  Called 111 and we waited for 2 hrs for the Dr to ring back.  Mum wasn't strong enough to sit him up in bed properly. Dad got admitted to hospital in the Redlynch ward, At least the phone signal works there. The hospital was full, so dad was lucky to get a bed. Even as my & mum were at the bus stop, we could see ambulances parked up outside A&E waiting to get in. A lot of people are reacting to the Covid jab, as they have included the Omicron virus. I updated dads tablet and showed him how to get to his games, he forgot five minutes later. It's not looking good for Lizz Tru...

I went to a tea party at the Quaker house along Wilton Road. Been raining on and off, very mild today. Went to the Rethink group in the Arts Centre, nice to chat with people when you are down. I watched Desperaldo on the Great Movies channel, it's got Antoni Bandarus in and he's HOT! 😍 Got me thinking through, that I'm heading towards being left on the shelf. I do get lonely, but then again I'm worried about having my heart broken again. If it hadn't been for Brian my X, I'd have still been a virgin. I hated my virginity it made me feel like I wasn't normal, like a freak. I've tried explaining to mum, but she doesn't take me seriously, and aunt Joan stares at me like I'm some sort of slapper. Most people my age are married off, but I don't do marriage as I hate commitment. Young ladies in the Roaring twenties liked Rudolph Valentino, I've only seen a few pictures of him.

I saw a very bright star in the sky Monday night and thought it was the space station, it turned out to be Jupiter which is a gas giant and one of the brightest stars ( or planet ?) in the sky.  Jupiter is the closest it's ever been for 59 years and was on the news, people couldn't live on Jupiter as the weather is too extreame; imagine hurricain winds everyday all day all year round! Fifth in line from the sun Jupiter ( Roman ruler of the gods ) is the largest planet in the solar system, the stripes on Jupiter are cold windy clouds of amonia and water floating in an atmosphere of hydrogen and helium.  Jupiter has a giant red spot which is a giant storm bigger than Earth which has been there for hundreds of years!   Jupiter takes 12 earth years to travel around the sun, spinning every ten hours.   I have joined a group called Socalise Salisbury which is on Facebook, I went to one of their meetings at Weatherspoons to help give ideas for a design on t...

Today our  Queen was laid to rest at Westminster Abbey, the ceremony started at 9.00, but I got up to my parents roughly around 11 o'clock as I was cycling. I think the tyres need doing,  as they felt sluggish.  St Thomas's Church Bell was tolling,  and a huge TV screen was set up inside the cathedral. The King looked tired and I thought he was going to cry, well he is burying his mother today.  The weather stayed fine a rainbow was seen on the Eve of the Queen's funeral at Windsor castle, also a ray of light. Some people had camped out all night. Lots of people watched the procession in Bournemouth lower gardens, also in Christchurch and Pool park. Westminster  Abbey was packed full of world leaders, president Bidon didn't stay long flying back to the states 2hrs after the service.  Lots of people threw flowers at the queen's coffin, eight soldiers carried the coffin down the steps to the car; must have weighed a ton. Also, the crown was on top of a p...

Sunday 18th September 2022

Tonight I hope I am writing history. Its the queen's funeral tomorrow, its been made a bank holiday so everything will be closed. The media says it'll be the biggest event event seen since the queen's father George 6th passed away in 1952. It could be the biggest thing the UK has done. Everyone will be watching the funeral, the queen will be laid to rest at Westminster Abbey next to her husband. The president of the USA flew in last night, all sorts of dignitaries have been coming in. A 5 mile Queue from Westminster Abbey right down to London bridge has been waiting to get in to see down  the Queen's coffin. Some have been waiting all night, and it was cold. I don't envy those people, the line is a 12hr wait! David Beckham the footballer, Holly Willerby & Phillip Scolfield went go the hall go see her. Some foreign  gent tried to rush towards the coffin, but he was quickly arrested. There's always one. A few days ago the queen was at Hollyrood house in Scotla...

Thursday 8th September 2022

It tipped it down this morning, I was going to go to Britford with the walking for health group and hopefully get some jam, but I changed my mind.  I did the washing up and walked up Fisherton Street, then took cover at the vintage store as it began to rain hard again.  I'm doing a Christmas French knit for the crafty girls, it's going well so far. I'm hoping to visit Weymouth on Saturday, I'm hoping the weather will be much better than today.  I had Cornish pasty, beans and mash today.  Jane who works at the cafe was telling me about her troubles with her mother who lives in Yeovil, then Kim made a shocking statement that the queen is dying!  I can't imagine life with another monarch, but she is in her 90s now. I left at 2.30 and stopped at Franklin to get some silver thread for the green wool I'm adding to my Christmas tube.  I keep getting stupid heartburn, especially at night.  It seems to get worse when I look at my mobile phone screen. Our...
